2021 TRU-SU ROSÉ
Brockenchack’s 2021 Tru-Su Rose is vegan and made from 100% Shiraz grapes, grown on our own Eden Valley vineyard in the Barossa. This Shiraz Rosé seems to have just ‘kissed the skins’ to pick up its unique vivid coral peach skin pinks, but has had enough contact to catch a bagful of bright aroma flavour combinations.
Live juiced raspberry-cherry aromatics spiral from the glass with rose petal lift, over a spicy toffee apple back note, then the Tru-Su Rosé flavours bounce onto your palate with a splosh of raspberry velvet, snowballing on through ripe red cherries, to a fresh apple acid full stop.
Our single-vineyard Shiraz Rosé is named after Trevor and Marilyn’s two daughters Trudi and Susan, who love to drink this style of wine.

2016 – 90 points, Mike Bennie, Wine Business Magazine: Crowd-pleasing kind of wine here, and it’s set around a sweet-fruit strawberries-and-cream feel. The perfume shows exactly that, while the palate is strawberry kissed but perks up with a zingy finish. Worth a visit.

2021 Eden Valley Vintage Summary
Winter rainfall in Eden was only 5% below average (275mm), with August being the wettest month for the winter period, filling our dams which we were oh so grateful for, because from November, dry conditions ensued. Growing season rainfall (Oct-Mar) was 20% below average with only February recording above average rainfall.
Temperatures were relatively mild for much of the growing season, providing ideal conditions for growth and berry development. Flowering was uninterrupted this year, allowing good fruit set. Night-time temps during spring and summer were cooler than normal. These cooler nights are critical to, and the hallmark for, the quality of grapes and wines from our Eden Valley vineyard, allowing our vines time to rest, and allowing aromatic flavours, finesse and natural acidity to be maintained.
The mild daytime conditions provided optimal ripening, allowing great fruit flavours to develop. Whilst yields across the region varied depending on water supply, they were mostly higher than vintage 2020, which is the case with your 2021 crop.
Quality is exceptional from our 2021 Eden Valley vintage. Whites are fine with amazing natural acid and intense flavours. Reds are flavourful and deeply coloured. A vintage for now, and the long term.
