“This is a powerful, aromatic wine with concentrated sweet blackberry fruits, with nice grainy texture and a warm spicy, almost salty finish.”
Named in honour of Trev’s late father; William Frederick Harch (1910 – 1976), our pinnacle Shiraz is seamless and delicately crafted from only the finest parcels of fruit.
Our 2019 William Fredrick Shiraz is brimming with intense aromatic fruit expression and deepest purple colours from our oldest vines giving ripeness beyond expectation. Hand picking the best parcels of the ripest fruit from our 90 year old Shiraz vines, timely soft pressing and careful French oak selection all set the scene for our luxurious style. Lavish blackberry, black cherry liqueur and plum flavours take centre stage with subtle black olive, clove and mint notes forming an alliance on the perimeter. There are notes of vanilla and cinnamon from oak influence to be found amongst the spice and white pepper along the fine gripping tannin finish.
Cellar under the right condition with confidence for up to 15-20 years (to 2039).
