2025 ON POINT PINOT GRIGIO
$24.00
From a gift of a season, delivering lush vine growth and fruit at its absolute peak, you’ll find our 2025 Pinot Grigio is bursting with vitality.
Bright, fresh aromas leap from the glass. Zesty citrus, a twist of lime, and flashes of sun-kissed tropical fruit invite you in.
With your first sip, pure Eden Valley freshness rolls across the palate like a soft breeze, rich with ‘just-picked’ juiciness. Waves of juicy orange, ripe peach, tangy lime, and a hint of mango unfold one after the other, lingering, lifting softly all the way through.
Our ‘On Point’ Pinot Grigio is named in honour of our two granddaughters; Bronte and Charli, in acknowledgement of their passion for, and excellence in, ballet and dancing over the years. It’s a play on the French ballet term en-pointe; to stand on one’s toes in full extension -no easy feat- and something both girls did with grace and elegance.

2025 Vintage Report
The Eden Valley 2025 vintage was characterised by drier conditions, thanks to below-average lead-in winter and spring rainfalls. But it’s times like this, where our investments into future-proofing water solutions for our vineyard start to pay off. Our soil moisture probes and drip-fed irrigation ensured that we maintained good vine health throughout the warmer seasons.
Late-winter warmth in August led to a slightly earlier budburst. A severe frost in mid-September caused widespread damage across much of south-eastern Australia, however it was early enough for us to miss any young shoots and our buds fared reasonably well, all things considered. Our investment in a NZ frost fan invention (the tow and blow) may have saved us here.
We did anticipate smaller yields as a result, however our vines went on to grow well. A warming trend from mid-November laid the foundation for one of the hottest and driest seasons in memory. We scraped through with existing tank and dam water supplies, and in the end our vines over-delivered, exceeded our expectations and provided a bountiful crop.
The significant diurnal temperature difference, caused by the higher elevation of Eden Valley, is so important for preserving our region’s typical aromatics, acids and character. Despite the overall warmer weather this season, there was still a significant difference in day and night temps, resulting in excellent quality for our Riesling, with high natural acidity, freshness, and aromatic purity – producing wines of elegance and longevity.
A return to high temperatures in early March accelerated ripening in our red varieties. But healthy canopies allowed our Eden Valley Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to produce vibrant, expressive wines with great colour and tannin ripeness.
We started our 2025 harvest in the middle of February with the picking of our Pinot Gris grapes (only a week earlier than usual) and finished with our Cabernet Sauvignon just before Easter in mid-April.
Despite its challenges, it turned out to be a gift of a season, praised for its exceptional purity, elegance, and longevity, particularly for Riesling, which maintained freshness due to the region’s cool nights and diurnal shifts.
